These new 5.0's respond VERY well to mods.

Like I said....my experience was with older models over 5 years ago. Would be curious if this was at 12000 feet in very cool weather....that seems like a freakishly good pass to me....like 1-million...maybe a little downhill...

Fact still remains....my car to a new mustang is no comparison just simply based on weight and aerodynamics.....at least 6-700 lbs more in the Mustang. Will require more mods just due to weight disadvantages.

Don't agree......90%+ of all stock 2011 Mustangs hitting the track will be north of 13 second passes...takes siginificant mods in a heavy car like that to get 11's.

She needs to learn to launch. Last two runs where red lights. Just sayin.

And the only good mustang is one wit a blower. Ford will always need to put a blower on something too make it good or go threw some one to make em better. I might get hated on for this but oh well its IMO.

These 5.0's are running over 110mph in bone stock form. No blower. Just a little 302.

Are people really that dumb to think ford or anyone for that matter can't build na motors with decent hp. I'm sure honda could put out a 6 banger with 400hp if they wished. The problem for us mustang guys is there was no competition in sales. Ford had no reason to build a base gt with any *****. Now the camaro finally put a hurting on ford where it counts and they had to do something.

This whole thread has been about bone stock 11' Gt's. In our climate down here those cars stock will be 13 sec cars. No way a 3800lb+ 400ghp car can make consistent sub 12 passes...no way. fact is there will have to be mods on a car "down here" to make sub 13 sec passes.........hiding under a rock...that's funny.

LMAO! I just beat one last week with my bolt-on SS. His car isnt something the f-body community as a whole should be afraid of, especially if he's stock.

You act like Foxes didn't RAPE Camaros during the 80s and up until 93. It will always be the same back and forth...people just hate on Ford for doing it with less cubes.

I do like what Ford is doing, just arguing a simple point using weight distribution/power/and aerodynamics.

3620 is the curb weight for a manual coupe...No light weight, but it ain't the queen mary either... Still weighs less than the competition..Challenger, 2010 Camaro...
