X360 Black Ops Thread
I actually prefer it to be more difficult to get and customize weapons. Makes having them an earned process, not entitlement to the newbies. Did they make the noob tube more expensive this time? Hope so.
Haven't got mine yet, just saw the previews/interviews discussing the weapons unlocks. Will give a full review tonight, after I play it a lot. I'm a big MW2 fan, so it will be difficult to impress me. Battlefield sucked, to me.
Yea I def am I big MW2 fan and will take alot to sway me as well. I know some things will change in the game but I also didnt expect it to be exactly the same as MW2 because then this game would just be like a map-pack instead of something new.
Im going to try to pick it sometime this week. I have been checking out the reviews and everything and the game looks awesome. Hopefully gamestop will have some extra copies or I will try Wal-Mart too.

Played it for about 3 hours so far. If you like MW2, you will like this game. Maps are HUGE and have many levels of elevation. Most are very maze-like, you can get inside most of the buildings now. I'm digging it, so far!

Not really difficulty, just buy what you unlock. I do love the flamethrower though, LOL.

one thing caught me off guard: you have to buy the pro version of perks.
i was running around with Ghost and Ninja wondering why the pro attributes werent working even tho i had completed the challenge... then i noticed you have to pay to upgrade them again hah.
one of my favorite things? NOT STOPPING POWER. this really changes the dynamic of what guns to use and why.
i kind of miss how powerful sniper rifles were from MW2... i hated the over powered quick scoping, but now snipers have a totally different dynamic (combined with the lack of stopping power) along with slow scoping in, and even slower breath hold. your breath hold doesnt start til AFTER youve scoped in... unlike MW2 where you could steady your aim as you scoped in.
all in all, im enjoying black ops WAY more than MW2 or CoD4:MW.
i was an hour late for work yesterday because i woke up and started playing before i left for work! cant wait to get home tonight and keep leveling... i think im around 22-23 now.
the only reason im upset about this game is because i didnt have enough time to get many of the fallout: new vegas achievments. no more time for new vegas now!
cant wait to unlock the AK47, slap on a suppressor and dominate!

I'm just going to hurry up and Prestige as fast as I can, then I'll go about unlocking the Perks and weapons I really want. Might take me a week. Didn't know you had to purchase the Pro Perks, LOL.

Overall I like the game, graphics are not as good as MW2 but most won't be able to tell. And after I got 10th Prestige in 45 days of straight playing on MW2 I got burnt out really quick from it, from all the noobs and hackers that played and that fact it was way to easy. But this game seems like it will keep me playing a lot more with the new multilayer game types.
And Bad Company 2 is still the best FPS out there. It takes more skill, everything can be blown up and the people who play are more skilled also. To me nothing beats it and I can't wait for the new Vietnam update for it next month. This game is just holding me over till then as I just beat Fall Out New Vegas 2 days before Black Ops came out.
I can't stand Bad Company. Played it for a week, grew bored the first day. Tried the rest of the week to like it. Didn't happen. Still prefer MW2's action over BC. Maps are better on MW2 than BC also.
BC2 sucked cause no one talked...no communication and nuthin but snipers. I like the maps being big but all the damn snipers took away the fun, well that and no one used their mics
Classified Weapons Still getting use to this one, but I think the previous was better. The actual game play seems sloppy. Also, the explosives, guns, killstreaks, etc. don't seem as viscous as before. This one is lacking some aggressiveness, but still playing gonna see if it grows on me.
