Default custom exhaust work

Who around the Ft. metroplex is the best to get exhaust systems built? Car has a chassis mounted UMI torque arm with driveshaft loop. Supposedly won't work with the true duel set up it has.

Thanks in advance

IMO it's Mike Hutto. Not sure if he is still messing with cars anymore though.

Ol' Mikey gets banned for just showing his face.

Now OP, I've done my share of calling exhaust shops and have found that either they won't do a custom setup, charge WAY too much to do it, or just flat do crap work. When Hutto was at Lanes back in the day, that was the place to go.

Unfortunately Ray is no longer doing exhaust work. Hutto is building me a set this weekend as a favor. He is so busy he realy doesnt have time for side work. Ill ask him if he has time to do more and get back to you.

Well for his friends he will do it. And it dose not hurt to ask. Only reason Ray quit for a while is because he wants to work on his ****! But I have sent people his way and he hooked it up for them.

Good deal! Hadnt had a chance to get back down there and talk to him. Good to know he didnt just get burnt out. He did a set for me a few years back. Good set of duals for the price.

I had to go to Hutto for this next set though 3.5" oh yeah!

thanks guys, it's for my son I sold him my car 3 years ago. Now he is starting to do some more stuff to it. I had done a few things, cam, converter, LS6 intake, shaner throttle body, headers and t-duels,lower control arms, now he's put a 9" in it, subframe connectors, and a chassis mounted torque arm with driveshaft loop. Getting the suspension ready for some more power. Little juice maybe. The torque arm is what is messing up the true duels fit, I thought a good exhaust man could make it work.

Yeah a lot of people always buy a Torque Arm like Spoon or what ever and b/c of the true duals and the size of the new Torque Arm, it wont fit. Some times bigger is not always better in this case.

chassis mount with/loop is the deal I guess, I haven't seen it. rather redo exhaust than leave it on the tailshaft of the trans though. It will be better in the long run and yes it's a UMI t/a.

Me and Hutto had a descussion about torque arms the other night. Another friend of ours is running the tunnel mount Midwest version. He had to go with an H pipe for the best fit/clearance.
