2011 5.0 Mustangs....
they better be close to the 400 hp margin
my engine was designed in 1997!??!?!?!?!
5.0 was done out late 2009.....
LONG TIME those ford **** engineers had to make a few extra ponies to keep up with an engine that is way older and wiser
Clean Heads/Cam/Full bolt-ons LS1 Fbody = $12-14K max
New CAI, exhaust, tune 2011 5.0 = $30K+
Take your pick I guess. If I was going to spend that much on a car, I'd rather save up a little bit more and get a C6Z.

Easy guys. I'm not ripping on the LSX platform. I'm just defending the little 302.
If you don't think Ford engineers could put out a high HP N/A engine, you are sadly (ignorantly) mistaken. When you lead in sales during all those years, where's the motivation to go that much bigger/more powerful?

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

Then again, I’m not sitting here defending it’s (the Regal’s) honor by trying to claim it makes as much power as a 2011 (insert mid-sized 4-door here) and calling said car a piece of ****.

we all know theres people out there with deep pockets.
But it took ford 10 years to produce the same efficiency % engine
almost 10 years later. ?

Which company is it again that went bankrupt and is now under the US Government’s control? Who didn't take money from the US government? Who's stock is at $16/share and who's is frozen at 75 cents/share and not even traded anymore? If you want to talk "failures" from within an automotive company, we can do that.
Yeah, man. Ford has been trying for 10 years and they finaly were able to do it.

comparing science and physics to business?
Honestly. Maybe I'm the only dum **** out there to triple major Business engineering mechanics and electrical eng.
But if you want to talk about business methods and policies
MAKE ANOTHER THREAD ABOUT THAT!
And don't jump around like a catfish in low water about it
Going from one idea to another.
And ross. I do want to keep it clean here
And i don't want to make enemies especially over a forum
This will be the last time i post in this thread.

To insinuate Ford engineers don't know how to build a high HP engine is just goofy.
But take the 2011 CTS-V Coupe or 4door > 2011 GT
Performace vs Performance GM > FORD
