question car not starting

question car not starting

any ideas car wont start even try to jump it and nothing it has power... when i try to start it it just clicks wont turn over what could it be any one have an idea

battery ... mine did that the on sunday! bought a new battery and havent had that problem

hmmm well before i put the car down for a couple of months i had lost my only key i had to get a new one made and sometimes the security light would come on and i had to turn the key on and off a couple times for it to start i was thinking it was that too but not sure battery is brand new

I'm pretty sure I bypassed the security on it.

I would double check the battery, cables, and starter.

well it was sitting for couple months and before i had to get a new key made and it acted wierd sometimes but i also went from side post to top post so i already double checked the cables there good i iwll check the starter though but i really think it has something to do with this new key cause it had to be a new chip too
