Your EGR valve might be stuck open. Check the back of the intake.

If you do not figure this out feel free to bring it by the shop so we can thoroughly look everything over & see what's going on.

I had the same issue a while back. Ended up being a bad TPS sensor.

They are pretty easy to find online. I would also take a look at the front 02's, but you said no code is being given.

Might consider a tune. How many degrees of overlap is your cam built for.

96 Lt1's are MAF not speed density, correct? In that case I would also look at cleaning the MAF sensor, changing the fuel filter. Considering it has some engine mods, I would look into a fuel pressure guage just for future issues.

I would also inspect the TB to make sure everthing is sealing properly. If it is ported some of the screws may have came loose. Truthfully, it sounds like a vacum leak since you are not getting an SES light. If you can borrow a TPS I would try that out also.

Also, try cleaning the IAC, just be careful with it. Sorry about jumping around so much, just havn't worked on an LT1 in ages.

Lastly, fuel filter, and I would recommend installing an under hood fuel pressure guage. Helps alot in these situations.

Does it miss any when cruising once warm?
