I am all for understanding different languages... i currently speak, spanish(of course), english, and also learning the middleastern language. When I go to the stores I hear them speaking and they think I don't understand but it is funny the **** that they say.

I speak both German and sign language and am currently working towards becoming fluent in Czech... guess I'm a typical lazy and ignorant American. Just because we don't learn Spanish doesn't make use ignorant. Expecting someone who is not from your culture to be fluent in your language when you are in their country is ignorant.

this country has become the "United Nationalities and Customs of the World"
sad to be those people who think this country is still white america
just look at Houston alone. so many nationalities, races and cultures.
if you're stubborn and don't want to learn "other languages" and your kids are just going to be speaking english, then that's on you.
you have to evolve - if not, you're gonna get left behind.

Guess my 2 years of Spainsh in high school didn't prepare me for the "NEW" LS1Tech. Time to move on perhaps.

I use the language our country was founded under.... thanks for trying though. Its not my job or responsibility to learn the language of immigrants. I learned the languages spoken by my ancestors. You are just as bad as jibby.

**** that welcome to America the language is English. you made the choice to come here so how bout you show a little respect and learn to speak our language.
im sorry im not going to cater to peoples needs when they made the choice to come here from where ever. no one in the USA forced you to come over. just because you feel put down or whatever doesnt mean you should cry about people not speaking spanish.
if i jumped the fence to go to mexico i'd take it upon myself to learn the language. not the other way around trying to force native people to learn my language.
yeah bring up that they were here first thats fine. but guess what we are here now so **** that i aint learning another language for anyone.
