New addition to the stable.

I've had possession for just over a week now and have been putting in a lot of elbow grease cleaning and detailing to try to bring it up to my standards. It was stock except for wheels and tint, but I've already thrown on a BMR rear swaybar and BMR LCA's, rear end girdle, and have upgraded the door speakers. Just had one leather seat panel replaced by the upholstery shop and it turned out great. Few more parts (mods) to install, but it will be a mild bolt-on car to enjoy while I wait on the motor for the Blue Beast to be finished.
Thanks to ATXLSX for turning the camera away from El Diablo on the dyno to film a few seconds of the new toy.
But the flip side is that half of the aftermarket parts I'm bolting on it were already sitting around gathering dust in my garage. Makes sourcing spare parts easy when all of the cars interchange. Thanks! Took about a 2-month search
Seems to be getting really hard to find an unmolested 4th gen that hasn't been hit at least once, modded with questionable skill or taste, or just beat on to hell, and all for a fair price. Looked at a bunch of cars before deciding on this one. Trending Topics

I'm pretty pleased as that is about what I expected if the car was healthy - and evidently it is. It's bone stock with 95K miles. For a '00 Camaro SS with an A4 trans, it's a solid number. I haven't even sea-foamed it or installed new plugs. Just threw the bitch on there as-is.
This is the first time I've ever dyno'd a completely bone stock (as far as power) 4th gen Camaro. All other cars I have ever owned always had mods before they ever saw a dyno. Wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to get a baseline and satisfy my curiosity. Now the mods can begin.

I got it from Los Angeles because I could not find a car locally within the $ range I was looking to spend that met my standards. During my 2-month search, I drove all the way to Houston to look at a car that supposedly had never been hit and never had any paint work done. Pulled the Carfax before I left and Carfax was clean. Got down there and in 10 minutes I could tell the car had a major collision repair.
The seller was either an idiot or a liar. We turned around and drove back to Austin.Of course since I bought it a few nice cars have popped up for sale within Texas that are what I was looking for. Murphy's Law.

Good find!
