if they don't care about those things then why build the car? i mean the whole point of building a car is to meet a goal, and its obvious with that motor this car isn't meant for a road course or rally driving. i'm curious to know what their goal was with that build, bragging rights?

I think you need to learn to respect all aspects of the performance car scene.

Did you look up any of their other builds by chance? Or are you just flaming them for building the cosworth?

I found a few evo's as well as supra's...all making well over 1000rwhp/awhp..I believe one evo made almost 2k with a very nice power curve.

So a car build dictates how a country is run.

Over 500 whp for 3k+ rpm. Not bad. I bet it would do better at the track then most of you think...

all that car is.. is just a money pit for some one with more money than sense who is way too obsessed w/ his Evo.

thats funny you said that..i have been seeing a bunch of 1000HP LSXs coming out of this site lately, but i have only heard of 1-2 of them running 9s..

i guess all these guys are lame too?????

cuz it takes more than just horsepower to run fast 1/4 mile times, people dont understand that.

Yea but arent those guys running things like the Texas Mile?

While this build is impressive craftsmanship it does seem kinda pointless to me to spend so much for so much horsepower with nothing but a dyno sheet (which dynos do vary from dyno to dyno) and not track times (be it 1/4, Mile, Top Speed, or track) to show for it

They should look at Nelson Racing Engines......
We built a Nre 427 Twin turbo hot rod series crate engine making a streetable 1750 hp at 5900 rpm and 1730 ftlbs at 5000 rpm.and will still idle at 800 rpm and is reliable enough to drive across the country. To handle this power We installed a fully modified 4l85e computer contolled with electronic transbrake, going threw a Denny drive shaft and strange 35 spline nodular rear end. It truly is a showpiece that really is a functional monster on the road Capable of running 8 second quartermiles and cruising in traffic with the ac blowing a have your cake and eat type of car.

Probably! The 800-900rwhp guys are already in the 8s. Maybe only dyno queens are posting their 1000+ rwhp graphs?

i have nothing against using meth or higher octane, but that motor nelson built was sweet looking, although i heard the intake cost the same as a nice used 4th gen.
