Long tube prices
Is the price of longtubes like the SLP ones and Kooks worth the difference in price? Is there even that much of a difference in horsepower gain between these and like pacesetters and hooker and what not?

If you're ballin' then get them, if not then Pacesetters will do fine. I made 440 with stock 243s, ls6 intake, torquer v2 cam and pacesetter ceramic coated offroad headers. I put the fast on and only made 7hp/6tq more. Guess I need to port my heads now...

and unless SLP has redesigned their spaghetti headers, they have TERRIBLE ground clearance.

+1 on the slp comment...and if your car is lowered then the slp headers are a pain compared to others

Pacemakers work fine, they just look like crap and may hang a little low. I went with ARH 1-7/8 stainless for my Vette and Camaro. I put the Pacemakers on my z71 and after 2 yrs they look like ****. If your on a budget they will do.

American Racing (ARH) or nothing. Kooks' quality ain't what it used to be so ARH is really the only game in town if you want no compromise: quality, fitment, longevity, looks. There is some small flow/ HP difference but it's the other qualities that differentiate. Buy right or buy twice.

My car is basically stock, lid, underdrive pulley, tuned for no cats and a little extra fuel. Just picked up an ls6 intake and i wanna put some lt's on there at the same time ORY of course.

ARH are amazing. I put on about a set or two a week on different vehicles and they fit amazing. Plus they look great when you install them and years down the road. Where pace setters will rust and look like junk.

I have 1 3/4 hookers coated and they went in easy and look good, i have had them a year plus and there is basically no rust, granted i dont dd my car but you dont either. As long as you get coated headers you'll be good for at least 5 plus years.
