basically in a nut shell there is an adjuster and they work up a value for your car. If you have any receipts or anything you can show that this was in your car to help your case but it doesn't always work and it depends on your carrier. After the value is determined the Lein holder gets their share, if it's not enough to cover the lein then you make up the difference. If there is extra then you get that.

Good luck man. I really hope you find it.

what do you think a tow truck is for?

Down here in Houston there are tow truck drivers that see cars and "tow" them. Problem is they tow them directly to the chop shop.

You have to move my truck that stays parked in front of my garage door then break down my garage door to tow my car

If someone goes through all that to get my car well then he really needs my car lol

You can try but unless you have the stuff listed in the bill of sale its going to be hard to prove you had it .

Yes, I had a previous TA that was totaled, and had GAP on it. Though, I didn't need it, because the insurance agency I had back then valued the car more than what I bought it for. I got a check for the difference in about 2 weeks from the wreck. I put that down towards the one I have now.

Sorry to hear about it.

You might want to post the VIN # and pics for it. It's probably in pieces by now though
