I'm young to but you have grow up on forums if you ever plan to get respect. Building a car doesn't consist of painting it and putting wheels on it. Yeah your
Black car didn't look bad but it's so far from the quality of true builds. Just sit back and read on here. You will learn so much just by reading through the technical forums. I use to by and sell cars just like you. It's a great way to make money but it doesn't last forever. If i was you I would spend all the time I could at work and learn the basics. One day you could move onto a better bodyshop and one day you could be a great technician. In one year I started at the bottom of a shop and I now hold keys to it. I feel extremely accomplished and extremely thankful for the chances my manager has given me. Keep
Working hard and doing what you love and you will find your way in life.

I know lol, I am scared **** less of it but I know I won't have it too long anyways, it's not going anywhere any time soon though. My uncle bought an 05 used with 50k on it and the heads let go soon after, I guess it's like playing Russian Roulette with these things.

It was the best truck I could find for the money, also had brand new tires. If I get rid of it, it will only be to get into an 08+ F250 or 07+ Duramax. The 6.4 Powerstrokes are ***** to the wall with a tuner and DPF delete. Put down 600+ rwhp reliably.

Man enjoy yourself and have fun tinkering with cars.. Make threads all you want about your builds and don't take the negative too serious. You seem to handle yourself at a young age better than others. Stay classy and have fun doing what you're doing.. Who really cares about earning respect on a car forum... God first and family homie... Keep it in perspective.

[QUOTE=retardedpenguin;14335836]Lol look at his sig, I am jealous of him. He is right, it's time to start figuring out what I am going to do with my life.

Y be jealous of him.... yes it seems like he has a pretty sweet car collection ... BUT like he said he waits to have his cars done right... Two are being done right now in differant states so he is having someone else build them... AT LEAST you have tackeled all your projects ... Im sure the other guy has had his fair share in building and playing with cars and now it seems like he is blessed enuff to have his money take care of his wants and needs right now...

Some people might give you a hard time cause really you not have any responsiblitly cause you still live at home... **** I wont lie I wanna go back home and have no bills im jealous of that lol..

But **** your still a kid and even though you dont do exactly what you want and say you will , the work you have done has been great .. **** im sure not to many people on here can say they have done as much work as you have at your age!!! congrats on that ive always lurked on your threads youve come along way!!!! KEEP IT UP

But man these are some of the less stressful years of your life enjoy while you can .... you will always look back on these years so build from it and learn from it !!!

Ill keep my eye out on a 6.0 for you and turbo ... to bad you only want a 70mm i have a brand new 91.5mm sitting in my shop still in the crate lol

Penquin, stick with the engine swap plan. My father bought a 1980 Turbo in 1979 and you are exactly right about the 301 turbo. People who pay top dollar for original engines do so when the original engine was worth saving. My dad's T/A was a dog and couldn't spin a tire on glare ice. If I could ever scratch up another Indy pace car to build and relive my youth the first thing I would do is ask you where you found a place to dump the 301 turbo.

Hey guys, black or tan interior? As much as I wanted to go black, the tan seems to give the inside a better feel and looks cleaner but I am about to start ordering everything yet I can't decide.

No worries, some one will inesplicably offer him 3-4K over what the car is actually worth and he will sell it off and move on.

Is that a bad thing???

Hell if everything I bought someone came up to me and offered me more for it .. **** I would sell it and go to the next.. No big deal.

Kid has a good thing going let him see how far he can make this work for him.

Might end up one day owning his own car dealership.

I'm just going to say this, I'd rather see retardedpenguin flipping cars and turning wrenches with his free time than smoking dope and being stupid with others his age. Do what you have to and have some fun while doing it. Just make sure you have something reliable for college, those can be some lean years if you're paying for it by yourself.

Sure are a lot of haters in here, so what if he flips cars and brags about it. He puts in the time, all you other guys do is insult. He is still a kid, let him have fun while he can.

I got the front end off, rear bumper off and the entire motor unhooked. All I got to do now is unbolt it from the trans an mounts. Hands are all torn up so I simply couldn't do anything else. Really nothing more I can do now until I get the motor, the intercooler should fit nicely behind the bumper if I go that route.
