****, even if you would've gotten the cam it might not have been a S cam. They screwed someone over a few years ago, installing a different cam in someone's car after paying for a S cam.

You won't hear back.

They just trashed a guys motor after installing a cam in his Z06 on Corvetteforum. The guy drove down from north Texas, like 8 hours, and the cam started destroying the top end of the valvtrain like 2 hours in to the drive back home. Happened about 3-4 weeks ago and a long thread about it. They wouldn't do anything to help fix the issue. Had another friend get burned a while back. Pick your parts and shop wisely.

When Chuck owned HPE, it was crap. Then Gary or w/e bought it and tried saying that Chuck no longer owns it and things are better. I hear more horror stories NOW then when Chuck owned it. Grant it, they did my tune a while back, and it's half way decent. I'll be going back to G-force for a retune as soon as I can. I just wish they would have specials on their tunes. Lol.

I went there once to watch a buddy make a dyno pull...the shop was most unimpressive...I wouldn't let them put air in my tires, let alone major work...

i did the same with my friend, he has a gto they tuned and fucked the computer to hell they wouldnt do anything until i ran my mouth on the boards about it. When I went there were engines EVERYWHERE just laying there on their sides, shop was dirty and had crap just sitting every spot possible, like a junkyard. Their office wasnt anything too impressive either

Sorry man, I live just down the street from HPE and I'll try to swing by there this week to see what is going on. As stated above I was told they are moving but didn't know when they were starting and where they were going.

The worst part about it is that I have consistently read HPE-horror stories for the last ~5 years. It's actually becoming more of a fool-me-twice scenario...

i remember a few yrs ago a friend of mine had a cam package installed in his camaro. well for some reason or another he demoded his car or whatever and found out that the "custom grind" cam that he paid HPE to install was actually an off the shelve cam at texas speed. a friend of my friend called HPE out via another screen name and HPE came out and said whats the big deal? well the ******* big deal was that he paid for specific cam and they turned around and installed a diffrent cam behind his back. they did not fess up to their shadyness and intentional decitfulness on other accusations and they got banned personally by Tony lmao which was amazing

then they were allowed back on here and nothing changed. chuck "tuned" my z and it was horrible. after 2 pulls on the dyno, my O2's were running open loop all the time, the fuel curves were copy pasted from somebody elses file and the timing looked like it was adjusted by a high school kid. it was a miracle the car idled. it took him 20 mins to tune my car. well i take that back, it took 2 other instances for chuck to "fix" it then gary at ARD had to fix it cuz by that time that douchebag aka chuck was already gone.

nothing but horror stories from hpe. ****, there was this one dude that worked there that had blue z oh. that car had a blown engine that he or they built and the car was in there for months, not even they could build quality **** for themselves that stayed together more than a few days. he was kool/nice tho props to him, he waited for me at the shop and made sure somebody tuned or retuned my car.
