A little bit of info I just got today.
If you think you might be interested in road course driving/HPDE (High Performance Drivers Education) or eventually racing, the new owners have offered up a new program. For $40 they will let you run one 20 minute session on Sat or Sun.
All you will need is a car in good mechanical shape (no leaks or corded tires) and a helmet and $40 and NASA TX will let you try out NASA to see if this is for you. Normally you would have to sign-up for a full weekend ($250-$300) to get on track. In all my years of being involved in HPDE (99-04) and racing (04-11), I have never seen an offer like this. Don't find yourself wishing you would have tried this out - this is the opportunity you have been waiting on.
