Default Car is Popping really bad

Started my car today for the first time since this cold weather has moved in and the car would hardly idle without dying and when it would start to idle it popped & it sounded really deep in the motor when it popped. Like detonation when it popped. I shut the car off. Car will still start. But dont want to run the car till I figure out why its doing this. Im hoping its just cause its been really cold these past few weeks & it just hasnt been started

Mods are as follows

Tuned on Mass Air
TFS Heads
Fast 90/90
42lb injectors
Vengance Vinticator Cam
Auto

How long has it been sitting since you last started it? If it's been a few months add some fresh fuel and see if that fixes it.

pull the plugs out make sure you didn't detonate with cheap gas. add some fuel stablizer . go drive it till you run that tank of gas out then change the fuel filter

I ran it for maybe 3 mins. It almost sounds like its not firing on all cylinders. A buddy thinks that maybe since its Mas Air Tuned its lean or rich popping cause its so cold. But if anything it sounded lean to me

If the only thing that's changed is the weather since you last ran it, I would let it sit and idle for a while. It should clear up after a few mins.

I thought the same thing. I did try and let it idle. But the popping it made was really deep in the motor & even my 9 yr old son asked what is that?

I went & started it just now! The car sounds 90% ok. But it popped once in the 3 mins I was letting it run. But didnt pop as deep this go around. Car idled great this go around. Im hoping maybe its just the cold weather playing a part in this cause it has a big cam & the car is tuned on Mas Air & was tuned when it was warm weather

If its mass air tuned, don't worry about the weather. Speed density is weather/temp dependent moreso than MAF.
Just get rid of that tank of gas and change the plugs and you should be ok.

Could it maybe be a grounding issue? Maybe that's causing a real bad misfire?

When the cold rolled in my car was doing something similar. I changes plugs and wires and added new gas. Car was fine all week when I was driving it to work.... The when it sat for the weekend(pregnant wife we take her car) started doing if again Monday morning.

Checked all ground and found a bad connection. Just my experience.

This makes sense. I bet its a ground! Cause the gas is fresh in the car.

Where should I look for my grounds?

Well now I cant get the car to start. It turns over. But wont start! This car hasnt ran in 3 years & in sick of it just sitting. It already had a busted trans & now I have motor problems

I added up all my parts with my Kooks 1 7/8 Headers & 3 1/2 inch X-Pipe & TFS 215 Heads & with Fast 90/90 & all my bolt ons. I can part the car out for right at $8500 easy & still have the body. Im really thinking about throwing the towel in.

But I think it might be a simple fix too. I think its not getting Fuel or its not getting spark. Cause it sounds like it wants to start. Just sounds like its not getting fuel to the motor to run. I checked the Fuel Pump & I hear it prime & turn on.

Does anyone know where I can check & see if my fuel pump is working?

It trys to start & sounds like it wants to start. But its like its not getting fuel or spark. But my gut tells me its something small like Fuel or Spark!
