Who's staying home today?

They forwarded our phones to our cell phones in case anyone calls. Sucks for me cuz everyone else either has a company cell or has theirs paid for by the company. They haven't offered that to me yet but so far no calls. Knock on wood.

i shut my job site down last night when we started getting precipitation at about 11:30 pm. I am glad i did not wait any longer. Nearly an hour to get home from down town. the roads down there were not bad yet but as i got further out towards cypress it started getting fun.
Put the truck in 4X4 and drove slow. i had to dodge people who lost it and wrecked and even got loose on a bridge my self. Saw about 20 wrecked cars and there was one major accident. I can only imagine how bad it was 6 hours later.

I put in 13 hours yesterday just to tie up all the loose ends I had. I'm not scared of driving my truck in this stuff, but I am in no mood to get wrecked by some no drivin fool. Gonna stay home and do the honey do list. Or be lazy all day. Lazy will probably win....

I felt like I was hauling *** today because everyone was going so slow, I nearly got into a wreck was from the dumbasses crawling over the bridge. I hit the top doing the speed limit then saw people nearly stopped at the bottom and put my foot to the floor.

We didn't get anything, the roads were perfectly clear. It's not like there was ice on the road, there were cars around me that had to dodge all the idiots right along with me. Also this was about an hour ago and not in the morning.

I went to work this morning assuming the idiots AT LEAST put sand on the overpasses. NOPE! I almost regretted going in. Glare ice on the two overpasses I had to go over. Oh wel, I made it ok. I'm from Minnesota originally, so I know how to drive on ice anyway. Still a bit sketchy in my old Ford pickup! LOL
