tire size question hey yall im wanting to know if someone can help me answer my question
i got a rear set of ttm rims in the back(17x10.5) and i need tires for them my friend has a pair of 275/40r17 eagle f1 and i want to know if they would fit
the tires i got on right right are 285/40r17
and yeah i know i should really put a 315 in there but im on a budget right now
or does anyone know were i could find them cheap either the 315s or the 285s

Yes they'll fit, but they will look skinny on those rims. I have the same rims and run the Nitto DR's - 315 and they fit much better and hook good. If it's DD car I would go with the BFG's as they have good traction as well but last wayyy longer. The Nitto's can be had fairly cheaply at your local Discount Tire.
sumitumo's is where it's at if your on a budget... yes 275's will fit but look stupid. 315 35 17 sumitumos 130ish a tire and last about a year, they suck traction wise but work as in they go round and dont go boom (for the most part)

The 275 would really look skinny on the TTM's, but like said before if you are on a budget Sumitomo are a great buy, I really never had issues or bad experiences with the tires, and far as traction goes I have also never had issues with them either, I was able to pull of a 2.1 60'ft with about 35psi in them back when my car was stock. So I would recommend them if you are on a budget and your rims would look a lot better
