i guess it would be more on the dark side. Its not like navy blue or anything.

actually its the same color blue as the blue wire in the C3 picture, just a lot bigger wire.

same color yes, thickness no. Its much bigger. I tracked this wire, it only goes from the fuse box into the relay. The red wire on the relay also goes into the fuse box but i need to see what fuses it runs into.

relay pic, I think the red wire goes into the engine bay, the relay that pops is the one I'm holding

The blue wire goes into the power windows, and radio.
Orange wire goes into the rap fuse.
Black wire is some sort of power wire, cant find where it goes.

double post, was on phone

No, I all ready said the BCM looks to be at fault. Get one from a junkyard. Should be cheap and if it does not work, you can take it back.

you can do a continuity test if you know a starting and ending point of a wire

power distribution; where all the power from the fuses branch off to which usually includes the relays.

i think i figured out the problem, but i dont understand it lol. Im hoping you guys can make since of it.

the relay that pops, every wire is a power wire, the black wire included. So i turned the key and went to see what loses power when the relay pops, the black wire and the blue wire witch is what causes the radio to shut off.

I tracked the black wire down, it goes into the C2 connecter on the BCM. I checked for power there with the key off, at the relay and at the BCM theres 12v of power with the key off.

But when i turn the key on, both sides dop down to .10 - .15 v, and when the relay pops the voltage goes up to about .30v

I did a continuity(spelling) check, and it showed with both the key off and on the circuit is open or shorted.

cant reallu go by the voltage. Sometimes it is like that with relays. Try swapping the 2 big relays and see what happens.

You get a different BCM yet? That seems to be 2 problems coming from the BCM so the odds are stacking up against it.......

Do some research. Id be willing to bet that any Grand Prix from that generation has the same BCM as well as Grand Ams and maybe some of their vans and whatnot.

Is there a way to reset the BCM? I know certain manufacturers have some control units that can be reset, sometimes they just act weird and can be fixed by doing so.

Generally no. GM is a remove and replace kind of company. The only way I would think would be to unplug it and plug it back in. But that's already been done.
