Guys, you're cracking me up about the not changing the spring thing. The cam in the Jeep is a Comp XFI cam which has very fast ramps. Faster than XE-R lobes. It is being controlled by stock shimmed springs which might get good life with the stock cam, but with a fast ramped cam like this, I would not blow off it being a spring issue because they have 50k miles on them. People with XFI cams in LS1s would not typically go over 50k miles on a set of springs without checking them.

Other possible issues: Those are stock plugs in there. I sold the Jeep with 20 something thousand miles so there was no need to change them at the time. Might be a good idea now.

Injectors: Could need a good cleaning. If nothing's been added (mod-wise) to the Jeep since it was sold, the tune is still good. There were over 200 hours in the tune so every aspect to gain power was explored. It lived on the dyno and spent lots of time at the track. If anything has changed to make it run bad, it's mechanical. The calibration doesn't change.

10-4 on the lobes, i was thinking they were something else.

ive just seen a lot of miles put on those springs with similar grinds so i hesitate to point at them first without checking some other easier things

maybe thats just because the thought of changing springs without removing the heads makes me shudder.

you will need more than just the springs.
we used LS1 locators, but had to use a die grinder to enlarge the center hole for the hemi valve guides.
i cant remember who we sourced the locators thru, but we ran 1218 springs on my heads and cam setup (frank racing sourced)

without the locators the spring will walk all over the place. and the OEM locators dont fit on aftermarket springs

NGK is a good plug, the 2315 is 1 heat range colder, i think stock gap is .045

PRC Springs Part# 1518 no mods. Or I could use the comp springs with the comp retainers. No mods needed.

Here is info on the comp springs and they seem to be alot cheaper then the PRC. Comp $230.00 vs PRC $360.00

COMP Cams Springs 26918-16
COMP Cams Steel Valve Spring Retainers 761-16

Log both banks short term fuel trends, if they are different - more than likely you have a plugged injector. With all the ethanol in the fuel plugged or sticking injectors are becoming more common.

Checked the catch can..... had 100ml of oil in it. It holds a max of 118ml. I dont thimk the prev owner ever emptied it in the 35k miles he had it lol.

I think that maybe a lil oil was getting sucked into the intake and maybe fouling the plugs. Because it happens on launch. I emptied it and it was good clean oil. Gonna put some new stock plugs in and try it again. If it does the same thing I already have Frank setup to do a spring swap for me
