That sucks man. I hope she wasn't selling. If she has a clean record, she should get probation.

Texas needs to decriminalize marijuana possession under an ounce. These petty crimes cost Texas taxpayers way to much money.

I would think since they just took her and left you alone you should be fine for getting the job, now keeping the apartment might be something different..

Hope everything works out for you! Tell her to cut that stuff out especially since you will be drug tested at work!

Somethings missing in this story, I cant see cops wasting their time on an anonymous tip about somebody smoking weed in their own house. Unless it was over 2 oz's, its only a misdemeanor

she was selling it, or caught up in some other ****

The tip said she was selling it. She had quite a bit, but i'm not sure exactly how much. For all i know she COULD have been selling it at her friends' houses. I never went with her.

Bail was only set at $500. They said they got her for possession.

Thats good but, they can come back later if they get proof she was selling and its over.

Plus with the amount that they found is over x they could come back with intent to sell.

But I hope for the best and hope she learn not to do this stuff anymore keep us updated.
