And everyone wonders why a clutch swap is so expensive on a Vette. Now you have your answer...

As you can appreciate, you aren't getting sympathy from me while working in that garage setup.

<--- recently installed a twin disk in garage on jack stands.

If you have access to a busted input shaft I would it would be nice to use it to line up the disks rather than the plastic alignment tool. On my twin I could not stab the TT/tranny/diff through both disks and the pilot although I was on my back in my garage with the car on jack stands. There was no way I was yanking the bellhousing again so I drilled a hole in it to where I could loosen a pressure plate bolt, turn, loosen, turn, etc, enough to stab it and then re-tighten.

It's only expensive if you take it to the wrong place

Damn Tony, all you need is an inground dyno and you will have a full blown speed shop..

Just hire a few techs and call it "Tony's speed shop"...

Only difference is the bell housing doesn't need to come out. You can get the flywheel/clutch in and out by removing the inspection cover.

That 4-post Rotary lift I have is actually the model used for above-ground dynos. I'd love to have one, but not in this neighborhood. If I ever build another house, it would be on more property and it would happen.

It sure is nice not having to wait on your car to be modded or repaired, I built this shop to become more self sufficient at my modding habits.

69 isn't even started yet. It is driver-quality, needs to be stripped down to metal and repainted properly. The 70 Chevelle is much nicer, I drive it to the Woodlands C&C sometimes.

I didn't have any problem driving the car. The clutch had a problem holding the power. All it did was smoke up and burn the clutch, it wasn't grabbing at all. Some clowns thought I was spinning the tires, that was clutch. No tire spin!

Bad news, clutch won't arrive until tomorrow. I won't have time to repair the Z06 for the TX Mile. I guess I'll run the CTS-V instead. Still bringing the enclosed trailer, so I'll have a trailer-queen Caddy. Gotta have shade out there!
