Regards to the full quarter being pulled out - Okay I had to dig, but I found the pic of the one where they brought the whole quarter out. See how it looks bloated? I'm trying to stay away from that.

In regards to the cracking - The bumper/quarter panel line blended in. There are no cracks. Regardless of if the quarters were made of metal or fiberglass, they DID body fill the material to the stock rear bumper shown. There is no cracking.

I still think it will crack after a few months of driving it. Trial and error from this point on I guess!
Yea that green car looks terrible. Partly the rim choice but overall it's definitely a whole lot of wasted time/effort.

Should look damn good if it turns out like the photoshop, good luck.

What did they look like before? Mine stuck out but I didn't think it was that bad.. The original wheels were fucked so I threw some 18's I had laying around with a 2nd gen offset on there.

Thanks bro. I'm the one who photoshoped it. I intend for the final product to look as good or better.

I built the wheels for the project.

you sould have mini tubbed instead/also. then the flared would not have to be soo dramatic. i think its gonna look ugly as theres no way it will flow with the natural curves of the body. but im in for pics anyay

Interested to see how it turns out. I think it'd have looked better with a narrowed rear and a mini-tub, but that's just my .02 though. Good luck with the project.

I didn't want to do minitub/narrowed rear. I wanted to do this. I appreciate what you guys' preference in what you'd do for your project. But you guys make it sound like I didn't have a choice in the matter. I have $35k in parts alone on this car. I can do anything I want

click here and scroll about halfway down
http://www.grandsportregistry.com/store.htm

If I were you with your resources, I'd get some existing flares like the ones above - they wont fit perfectly but at least its a good template to start with. That way you can add material if need be and it wont look like a tornado threw a piece of a trailer house through your quarter panel. Blend them in to the quarter only, not the bumper - that way you can still see some meat of the tire from the rear of the car... just like the GS's. If you want, blend them in to the front of the quarter and you should be close to your photoshop pic

edit: I just noticed on the link above, directly below the flares, they also sell pieces that mount to the bumper - you can use those and leave a gap so your **** wont crack
