Craigslist. I don't mind something with a little body damage or that needs a transmission. I purchased my old 2000 5.3 rcsb $2500. Had 143k miles. You have to jump on the deals when you find them. You can't expect a lot out of a $3000 pickup. It's hard sometimes to find them because people buy up the 5.3's and resell them but they are out there.

That's what I thought. Yeah, projects can be found cheap, for sure, but something halfway decent will be much more than 3K.

As far as I understood it, OP isn't really looking for a project, so he needs to shell out a bit more.

I dont consider a bumper or a fender to be a project. Those are cheap items to be fixed to have a decent vehicle at a great price. If you notice almost every Silverado from 99-02 needs a bumper.

This was my truck. Purchased running and driving with no body damage $2500. I added wheels and a few items. Yeah its rare to find them that cheap but i have seen many 5.3 trucks that people were asking $3500 and $4000. Doesn't mean you have to give them there asking price.

To the OP, be patient. You can find them.

haha @ posting your street sign in the background. ive caught myself doing that a couple times

nice i like that truck. i dont mind a minor project this truck would be a third vehicle. instead of buying 1 new car id rather play with several old ones. im a craigslist addict when it comes to the vehicle classifieds, You have to be extremely quick to hop on those deals, when i see them at that price they are literally sold in a day. the only reason im hesitant to hop on that ram is because if i did have to drop a new trans in it i would squeak by to break even if i was gonna flip it

heres one i really like, i love red trucks mainly because i work at target and i went to tech

Deals are out there, I got this bitch for $8,000 with an 8 inch lift on 37's, diesel and 180k miles.. Don't ever get a V6 truck, you will be really dissapointed.
