94 s10 2.2 head gasket help??? Anyone
I have a 94 s10 with a 2.2. In the link below I purchased the felpro head gasket which is missing alot of the water ports. The one pictured below that is like the one I took off. Should I go ahead and install the felpro or return it?

link doesnt work.
i just did this very job on the same truck, 94' 2.2. I milled the head (highly recommended) and installed new head bolts too. be very careful with the exhaust bolts they can very easily pull the threads out of the head. torque head to 44# on small bolts and 50# large bolts, i believe.

Ive done the same job and the parts I used came from Carquest and were like for like. The gaskets were the same. New head bolts are a must and it went back togeher with no issues. This little turd motor does not tolerate overheating very well.
