Well ive been throwing the idea around about boosting the 2JZ,and decided either way the leaking cam seal needs attention. So I figured if im going in I might aswell do it all.So I ordered both new cam seal, crank seal, waterpump, thermostat, timing belt, idler pulley, tensioner and VVTi gear since these are know problems with the 2J's
Anyhow I figured id snap some pics to show how fun these engines are to work on.
The Tear down.(first the cam gear covers come off)

Then the belt and cam gears are nect followed by the waterpump

Then New pump installed

All Put back Together (Cover left off to check timing)

IS300 is about the easiest car i've ever done a timing belt on, I was surprised by it.
Also the purple stuff (cam sprockets/gears, BOV's, wastegates, etc) is anodized not cheesy plastic that gets painted...
