I was thinking the same thing. The force absorbed by those plates may have saved them from injury. Those plates are there just for their good looks.

You got run? As in someone swerved to literally try to throw you off the road. I had someone try that on me yesterday. Then he threatened me with a gun in his truck. Principal overheard him. Lulz. Glad to see you walked away!

I don't think it was intentional Kronis, atleast not to put me into oncoming traffic - I think he was just in a hurry and thought he had cleared me. I had just left work and didn't do anything worthy of road rage (that I can think of...) so it's unlikely it was intentional.

40 mph head on? so you were doing 20 and the other party was doing 20?

OR

remember, if (2) vehicles moving in opposite hit you combine the speeds 40 for you and 40 for them, that is an 80mph head on collision.

scary-*** **** either way. certainly glad you are ok and walked away from it!!!

you mean all those Driver's ED videos are worng!?

I was looking at speed prior to collison, not acting forces during and after after, so yes I was worng.

AND I guess if Mythbusters did it, I believe it.

I do, twice. Second time was easier. I just called and told them I wanted a second opinion. They called back two days later and offered $500 more. I was happy.

I looked around and dealerships want $14-15k for similar mileage vehicles in the same trim and same year.

Did you get a quote from the insurance company yet? If so, how much?
