Default South padre

Hey texans. I am wanting to take my fiancé on a trip to south padre very soon and have a few questions. After looking I realize I can rent a condo for cheaper than I can get a hotel for so I an leaning towards that. Is there a part of the island that no ones wants to stay on ? If a condo is on the bay side does that usually make for a long walk to the gulf of mexico side? Any help will is great appreciated ! Thanks!

Bay side walk to the gulf side walk isnt too bad...prob bout 3/4 mile. But you cant beat staying in a condo on the gulf side with access right there to the sand/beach.

I grew down there during the summer times at our beach house, and many weekends. My family still has a condo at the Boardwalk(leased out). Good luck! Stop by Cap'n Roys and tell him the Weathers with the ugly blue house across from his sent you for a dinner. Rated 1st or 2nd(depending on year) for fried shrimp. It is just pass the first go kart track heading north on Padre Blvd. on your left.

By the way, it's your "fiancee", not "fiance", unless you are engaged to a guy. That can land you in trouble!

Haha thanks everyone. about the fiancée thanks for the heads up. Well I have found a pretty good priced condo but it is located on the bayside and I am not sure if it is located near much? It is around Bahamas and laguna streets. Does that put me near much? We do not mind walking much. We would like to be in walking distance of the beach, good places to eat and maybe some shopping. Thanks everyone for the help so far.

Yeah, you are near the brewery and a few blocks from Louie's. You can walk the entire island It is only a couple miles long where anything that you will do is. You can walk to the beach anywhere you stay on the island.

And like they said previously South Padre island isn't that big you can easily walk across from the bayside to the gulf side easily.

I'd have to check. It's going through my grandparents right now, which my grandfather passed away last year. It might be 2200-2600 a month.

Some places like the Bridgepoint will not rent out on spring break, others will.

Like I said I don't want time share... Anything I have to pay a year for... for something I'm going to use maybe twice a year is time share..

$2200 a month x12 $26,400 **** that... I would take my Family to Hawaii before I do that lol.

It's a 5 bedroom with an elevator, private island with a pool in the middle, boat lift, etc.

It's not a time share. It is for people to live in or a vacation home.

That does sound nice.. Hell for that price the live in would be very nice. That’s a little more then I pay now but..... I get my own Private Island ... I'm surprised that thing isn't rented already!!
