They still have the record for the fastest speed ever reached by a street / non jet car in the standing mile in the great state of Texas. It is also the most legitimate of the current top speeds in the country.

I'm sure they will care when someone can take it down...

yeah guess your right. I was just thinking about when every anyone looked up tx-mile records they are going to see LMR's camaro first since most will be looking at the new records...

Oh well. No big deal I guess. Good job to LMR to finally getting it done. 3rd time's a charm right?

Congrats, 31MPH head wind is no joke, nice to fly a kite in to, not nice to try and fly a Camaro in to.

They are top dogs currently at this track for sure. Glad to see they were finally able to make some clean passes as well

It used to be in Goliad, TX but is now in Beeville, TX (IIRC)
