And TA was on 15-16lbs on 93 octane not 18, fwiw.

That is what we think happened. Tire must have blew due to the extreme heat coming from the down pipe. Lesson learned, just glad my buddy was able to keep it under control. The outcome could have been a lot worse.
And a big thanks to Tali for all your help, he is a stand up guy!
