I have got a few small parts off the guy from mansfield and most of the cars he parts out have been wrecked.

U guys are talking about Robbie, he's a stand up guy. Deal with him a lot and sells us six speed cores when he gets them. He buys wrecked cars and parts them out and the majority of them are lt1's. No need to worry about him....

I would check Houston and Okahoma City craigslist. But chances are the took it to a shop and its already Chopped. Look for a primered or freshly painted hood too. Those sell for too much to throw it away.

Sorry to hear that your ride got swiped -- that sucks and I would be really pissed! Just curious, but did you have an alarm? Would think it would have made some noise even if it were towed away.

nope a good repo truck can get it in 10 sec. +/- 1-2 sec. And usually no alarm till you get down the road.

dawm that sucks bro. My third gen was stolen back in the early 90's and them fockers took it on a flat bed. The only reason they found it was because dude had stopped at 7 11 for a drink. when he came out he was surprised by the cops lol. Hell the stering column was broke too.

I did have an alarm and it was set but like I said there was no broken glass so it was likely towed away and the alarm never made a sound. Thanks again to everyone keeping an eye out for the car. It's been gone long enough that if I do get it back it will be parted out, but maybe at least get enough to get a little bit of money back.

So how long do you have to wait before insurance gives you a check for the loss.

Tip for anyone else in the are....seems that DFW has a lot of stollen cars lately and everyone up there is on this site. Back it in the driveway and leave it in gear or lock the e-brake or both. Harder for someone to tow it without it being heard that way. HAve a buddy that did repos and said they hate getting RWD cars that are backed up cuz it makes a **** tone of noise. I'm glad my car is insured, but now it makes me want to list my mods with my insurance company so I get money for the car and the mods. Anyone do this with theirs? I know GEICO will insure the mods, all I have listed is my exhaust right now not the cam trans nitrous etc.
