What company is this with? I got offered a job but it only offered 80k with no health insurance. I passed on it. Kbr only hires thugs apparently. And black water, which uses a new name now, is a bitch to get on with.

KBR is ghetto. I've never seen anything good come from them. They're about as bad as ITT..or International Thugs & Thieves as we called them lol. There is a message board that alot of my buddies overseas used to network around on and keep up with all the jobs opening up but I forgot what the name of it is.

Yea Anaconda is in Balad, Iraq just north of Baghdad. I was there back in '04. The money is good over there, and if I was a single man with no kid, I'd live over there for as long as I could take it. My daughter is the reason I'm staying home now, she just turned 5 and I can't miss out on her growing up.

KBR offered me $96,500 for the first year as a Fuels Lab Tech.. but I passed it up because I was able to re-up for another 4 years in the Air Force. This is deff something I'd do if I was able.

Nope, 10 years was long enough as a term and I was tired of getting screwed over on permanent jobs. I'm working out at the prison in NB right now and reserving at DeKalb police dept.

Yea, there are more guys over there that have never been in the military than ex-military. You pretty much have to have worked in a field that they are hiring for...like mechanics for example. There are alot of companies over there, I'll try to list the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
KBR
Halliburton
ITT
Honeywell
ManTech
URS (LSI)
VSE
Navistar
L3 Com
Force Protection
Ranger Land Systems

each company has thier positives and negatives, if you can look past the bullshit, you can make alot of money. when i go over there my mentality is, keep my mind on my money and my money on my mind, the rest is bullshit

If you have never been here before i.e military then it can definitely be a wake up call. Just remember your in a war zone and can be hit at anytime. We had 5 killed here about 2 weeks ago by an IED, and another group hit 2 days ago. So just never get complacent.
