My ac started blowing warm air, and I think it's low on freon (or whatever it's called now-a-days) I've always taken it to a shop to have it recharged, but I'd like to do it myselfthistime.Istherea write up with step by step instructions on how to do it?

Just buy the 10-15 dollar hose with the pressure gauge on it and a can of freon. You don't have to buy the super duper leak sealer kind, just get the $10 can at walmart.
Screw the can onto the hose, locate the drier, its the shiny silver can on the passenger side of the engine bay, there will be a black cap just behind it on the line, unscrew it, connect the hose and fill her up! In this heat, pressure should read around 55psi I think. Periodically shake the can to make sure you get it all in there. It's really pretty easy.. oh yeah, make sure the car is running with the a/c on max (full blast). The drier and hoses should be sweating when you are done.
If it blows hot in a couple of days you will know it has a leak that needs attention. If that happens, then you have a little more work to do..

Shops just love to bend people over. I would pay 80 bucks to get my tires rotated before I got them to charge my a/c lol.
One thing shops are good for is flushing the system, but that's necessary only if your compressor takes a dump.

Just like when you go to best buy and pay $60+ for a Monster HDMI cable that cost them $2.50, but can pay $800 for a Laptop that they paid $775 for.

when you do it , get a hot pan of water about 3-4 inches deep with hot hot water and rest the can in that when you do it , the can will get cold and probably wont let it all out .

But no, I did not oil the compressor. I just did the same as when Inspector12(jeff) helped me replace my last one. This was my first solo attack on it. If there is leak I prob just need new line? Thanks for all help. And Josh, it's super easy to charge. Like they said and can shows
