I swapped my factory nav unit for a Kenwood AVIC 920BT. The speakers (factory Bose) aren't great, but they're good enough...for now. I really wanted something that had iPod controls, nav, and bluetooth, and the AVIC fits that bill nicely. I'm not a car stereo nut, but I do like good sound, so I'll likely look into replacing the stock speakers down the road.

Have to agree with you on the seats. I'll eventually replace mine, too.

I love my Z51 suspension. On the first test drive, I thought, 'This is how I wanted my Camaro to feel'.

Congrats on a car that was well deserved and a long time coming.

BTW, even the Bose system in a C6 sucks ***. Worst sounding factory sound system I've ever owned. Very tin-can like, not enough midrange warmth or low end bass. Even the Monsoon in the 4th gen sounded better than a C6 system does.

+1

I expected more from both the speakers and Nav. I added the Ipod through the xm with a $100 plug in unit. It works pretty well and it charges my phone, but the factory setup should have come with at least an auxiliary input. I guess that's gm for you. Less features and more plastic!

Thanks again my fellow brothers in speed. Can't really afford mods for now will have to wait awhile. Probably just sticking to a heads/cam swap, 450+ rwhp and I'd be pretty satisfied.

Congrats and welcome to the club. Remember to wave.

I'd skip heads/cam and take it over to EnglandGreen. Have them install an A&A kit for 6k and go click off some 10's, with stock exhaust.

I haven't ever waved at people as much I have in the past week. Feel kind of like a dork, but if I didn't I would seem like an ***. Plus I would not want to feel the full fury of Corvette owners bashing me on Corvette Forum.

If you really want to have fun, show up at a Corvette Club meeting with a Camaro T-shirt on. True story.

Replace the factory speakers with inifinity kappa series. My dad did that in his C5 and its a night and day difference, even using the factory head unit. And yes his had the bose system and it still sucked nuts. My crappy monsoon system with blown speakers sounded better with the exception of the bass rattle.

yeah i went from my mach to a vette and its funny how many people wave to you. My daughter is like why is everyone looking at us? lol

My mach-1 radio was 10 times better than my c6 radio but I have not worried about it to much sense i have billy boat bullets and no cats. You can't hear it anyway now!!!!

its by far the most fun car to drive! i hope the c6 still looks as good in 5 or 10 years like the c5z looks now.
