C6 purchased. Finally, after a 15+ year obsession with wanting a Corvette, I got one last week. It has exceeded my expectations in nearly every way with few exceptions. As far as mods for now it has a MTI Xcelerator CAI, Corsa Sport cat-back and it was lowered on the stock bolts.

Didn't really care for the pre '93 Vettes with the exception of some of the late 60's and early 70's models. However, once the C5 Z06 came out, I was seriously hooked from that point.

Congrats. Not sure how it compares to the GTO, but when I went from my Camaro to my C6, the difference was pretty staggering, in a good way.
Because I've seen a few cases of this lately - THERE IS A MANUAL RELEASE LEVER FOR THE DOOR ON THE FLOORBOARD. YOU CANNOT LOCK YOURSELF IN THE CAR, EVEN IF THE BATTERY IS DEAD.

Now for the cons: poor quality seats, one of the worst modern car stereos I've ever heard (non-Bose unit), the quality of the plastic buttons makes a Corrolla feel expensive.
