Code Enforcement Question
Yesterday, I had a notice hanging on my front door that said "This property is found to be in violation of the following code(s) as marked." And on the list was marked: "Junked Motor Vehicles: Public Nuisance". I don't have a problem moving the car to another location, I just don't fully understand why it's considered to be a "public nuisance".
The car is parked legally on my property, in my driveway, on concrete. There are no major flaws to the body or paint, and it's sitting on all four wheels. The only thing noticeably out of place about the car is it's lack of interior. My friend and I are stripping out the interior in order to shed some weight off of the car, and we're also repairing the engine.
I understand the part about the car not running, but what gives? It's not hurting anybody, nor is it horrible to look at. Like I said, I can move the car. But why can't I work on a vehicle on my own property?
EDIT: Said car is not my yellow TA, she stays in the garage.

File a petition. if you are a home-owner and you are current on your taxes, tell them to get bent. Get a fitted car cover (generic ones look like ***) and tell them that it is your personal property and on your personal property. You shouldn't have to incur the cost and troubles of moving your property, regardless of what your tree hugging hippy *** neighbors think. If the city wants to start getting hard, mention talking to a lawyer of the sort and see how their tone changes.

I'm the type that doesn't like being pushed around by the government when I'm not doing anything harmful to anybody.
I also looked up the codes on my city's website. It states that on private property, it has to be sitting there for over 30 consecutive days to be considered a junked vehicle.
