Default 1st gen to 5th gen

I must admit im getting old when i was in high school the 80's everyone wanted 1st gen Camaros they were the sh___t big motors big tires the works then came the slow gens and i dont mean the drink and i thought i whould never like the 4th gens and now i think they are the sh_t so how long will it take for everyone to accept the 5th gens yes they are fast but yes they do disappoint in some ways why Chevy decided not to just use the 69 body unchanged i will never understand ok i have seen some 5th gens that are pretty sweet or am I just being forced to like them i wonder?

Nice sentence.

I'll never like the 5th generation Camaro enough to own one, it's just not appealing to me.

GM got the 5th gen right, 4th gens owners may disagree, but the sales figures don't lie. It's very evident by the fact that they finally caught back up with the Mustang and have sales figures that are neck and neck once again. That was never the case with the 4th gen cars, most of us liked 4th gens enough and knew the performance capabilities of the cars to over look 10 miles of dash and a huge hump in the passenger floor amongst other things. The 5th gen is very popular and the 5th gen is selling great, but that should be proof enough of their popularity. I never saw the point in buying one since I never needed the back seats, if I needed a daily I would have considered it.

On point one -

On point two - I agree with that.. Even the coolest 5th gen doesn't stand out much from the standard model. After 5 f-bodies so far, my next car will be a vette.

1st gen, hell yes
2nd gen=officially the mullet mobile, dont like them
3rd gen, i am addicted to the sharp lines of them, especially when they have the additional hood ect to top them off
4th gen, i like the SS, the base model flat hoods are ugly, but like a third gen, a hood or stock SS piece sets them off
5th gen, has sharp lines, rides better than any previous Camaro, factory cowling, only complaint is they are pigs.

Now the mustangs take me a bit to grow on them, with appearance mods from Saleen, Roush ect, they are beautiful.

And the C6, makes the C5 look like **** factory vs factory.

I really liked the some of the factory wheels they put on the third gen cars, GTA Cross Laces, Formula WS6 wheels, IROC-Z wheels, 91-92 Z28 wheels, Firehawk wheels... GM put some work in on them so they were pretty cool looking for their time and actually had a lot of design in them. 4th gens, only some of the special edition 17s wheels looked good, all the 16s were either ugly or kinda boring to look at.

Lol thats what I was thinking. The late seconds gens were ugly I'll say that, but 70-73 are far from mullet mobile's imo.
I like 5th gens, but I wouldnt sell my 1st or 4th gen to get one.

I think the late second Gen Z28s were so terrible looking they are cool, the front clip looks like E.T's face. You wanna phone home son? Well phone back in time and redesign your jacked up front clip.

1st gen > 2nd gen > 5th gen > 4th gen >>>>>>>>>>>> 3rd gen

5th gens might be heavy, but they still run 12.9-13.1 stock just like the 4th gens did. And they are just better overall cars inside/out. The ZL1 coming out in Jan will run mid-high 11s stock. Hard to complain about that.

Not sure what makes the third gen a mullet ride, i see mullet heads driving the 2nd gen way more and the current mullet machine is the 4th gen, i have proof ****** *******, LOL:

My post was my opinion, dont take it to heart for all those offended.

Many agree, the third gen with a LS swap is a ultimate car to have. Haters gonna hate

Ask 10,000 Camaro owners which generation is the official mullet-mobile. I think you'd be the only one that didn't say 3rd gen. haha

I had a '78 and '79 Z while in high school and for me late 2nd gens were and will always be the mullet mobiles. I also had an '86 Iroc and '97 Z before the '00 Hawk I have now.

BTW, If anyone has a "****" C5Z06 I'll take it..

See, i am sure there are several others that agree, they are the real mullet.

Now, with the exception of the 1st and 5th gen, the 2nd-4th had the lesser lookers, the 74-81 was not much of a looker, i dont like the 82-84 third gens due to lack of GFX and the LT1 body pales in comparison to the LS1 body, but this is all my opinion.
