In my opinion, the F-Body hierarchy goes: 67-69 > 70-73 > 98-02 > 93-97 > 82-92 > 74-81

I'm not entirely sure where I'd be willing to place the 5th generation. I really like the power train options but the overall appearance kills it for me; maybe between the split 4th generation, I don't know.

Truth be told, any generation can be the mullet mobile. If you see a guy (or girl) with a mullet in any Camaro, you can't be surprised.

That was never the case with the 4th gen cars, most of us liked 4th gens enough and knew the performance capabilities of the cars to over look 10 miles of dash and a huge hump in the passenger floor amongst other things. The 5th gen is very popular and the 5th gen is selling great, but that should be proof enough of their popularity. I never saw the point in buying one since I never needed the back seats, if I needed a daily I would have considered it.
Sales figures for the 5th are buoyed by the Transformers franchise, make no mistake. My personal opinion, exterior lines are great, the interior is hot garbage. Despite that, i prefer the smooth lines of the 4th gen to the square, angled lines of the 5th.

My biggest complaint about the 5th gen is the high door sills. How am I supposed to cruise the local trailer park with my arm out the window 2 feet above my head.

Camaro Coolness Ratings IMHO

1st Gen (69 being the best)
Early 2nd gen
4th gen
Late 3rd gen
5th gen
early 3rd gen
late 2nd gen

1st gen
6th gen
3rd gen
4th gen
5th gen
2nd gen.

5th gen made huge sales cause those Transformer commercials and GM not building a damn Camaro for several years.
That being said, cool car but way too heavy. When GM stops building Camaros AGAIN they will become more desirable.

Blame the mobile version, it showed this thread as a “related thread” to a current one on another page.

We're going to stick with blame the guy from out of state. It's the Texas way.

I'm Gonna add my .02c I think every generation has their good and bad points having owned one or more(mostly more than 1) of each generation they were just cars that a manufacturer built to please new buyers and deal with the restrictive regulations of that era- emissions, bumper laws, fuel economy and so on all while trying to sell more cars I've liked every Camaro/Firebird I've owned some more some less.
I believed the "Mullet" cars started in third gen but then became multigenerational I was never a big fan of 5th gen styling but they are a well built car, I would like to own a 14 or 15 Z28 but Its hard to justify swapping from what I have now. and after owning it I find myself wondering why I still have first gens! its really hard to know they're related at all
