im from longview lived there for a long time just recently moved to palestine tho. there a ton of fbodies around longview. 3 firehawks that i know of and the fbodys you do see are heavily modded. heads cam nitrous full suspension couple 408s around. we were real big out on the loop in longview in front of wingstop on gilmer rd. we all got older and got real jobs and arent able to be out as much. any given friday or sat night you go to wingstop on gilmer rd and the loop and find somebody there and odds are they will know of some fbodys around. they are out there they are just a tight nit group of friends and dont go out much anymore.

02pwtr that reminds me of the days up in Texarkana @ Sonic on stateline ave. Used to be lots of us, but some got older some sold their cars. Some still have em(like me). Used to go out and be a full night of street action between someone. Or going down to Hallsville on Friday night to run trophy street or midnight madness. Those were good times.

this is a link to a thread here. theres a dyno day at etmc (east texas muscle cars) on mcann north of longview and there is a list of cars that will be there. you can go there for nothing less than to meet people and find out whats around. i hardly ever get on here and am looking for another fbody to purchase in the next few months and just happened to be messing around and came across this thread lol. anyways good luck and there are fbodys out there. just got to know where to look and wing stop on the weekends is your best bet. maybe not every weekend but if your consistant youll run into somebody.

Anyway, Brandon is right about Greenville. Back in the early 2000s, people were racing nearly every weekend. (I still remember that night in front of L3).

I had a red SS back then. I ended up selling it back in 2006 for a more practical daily driver.

People just don't street race like they used to. The law changes from the past 10 years has alot to do with that.
