Default Beware chase bank!

Just realized I'm being charged $12 a month for my account. She says tgats how much an account is unless you have $1500 at a minimium in it. Went to close my account and withdrew what was left after all the pending purchases. Next day I have an overdraft fee. I have never had one. Crooked ********!

Almost every single bank charges now. Or they want you to have a savings account also. I don't pay at wells fargo since I had my account about 1yr before they started to charge

Chase doesn't charge me a monthly fee, but I know part of that has to do with having checking and savings and also you have to have direct deposit

Werd. They got me twice. Bitches.
I changed my account to a College Checking. No minimum balance required, no direct deposit minimum required, and best of all, no fee...until you graduate, then it switches back to the regular Checking account.
Whatever. I'll be in school forever anyway!

I remember a few years ago I got somewhere under $1500 in my account but they never charged me anything.

I originally opened my account with Washington Mutual back in 2002, Chase bought them out but I guess they still honor my original contract. I've never had to sign anything or make any changes to my account since Chase took over. They may have made some changes for me, notified me through the mail, but I never read that ****.

I have two accounts at chase and they've never charged me, providing I make five debit card purchases or transactions. I haven't read the new terms and conditions I recently got. Ill be looking out for that thanks.

They usually don't charge if you have direct deposit setup.

With most Chase accounts you either need to have direct deposits totaling over $300 a month or keep over $1500.
I have had one account for almost 15 years. Plus i opened a 2nd account about a year ago and i have never been charged a monthly service fee. I keep less then 1k in checking accounts I use and most my cash gets moved to different savings accounts quick after deposit.
It sounds like you dont have direct deposit and withdrew your money before everything cleared your account. Chalk it up to lessened learned, you didn't follow the terms you agreed too.

I work at the Credit Union of Texas and we have a Free Checking Account. It's free of minimum balances and monthly service fees. It just doesn't earn interest, only in the savings. PM me if you want more info.

Chase is now starting to charge a fee to everyone even if it is a direct deposit, all banks are basically doing it now my old bank BBVA Compass started to do it to me so I ditched them.

USAA Free Checking FTW!
