I would say that the centerforce clutches are the worst about your issue. They seem to have a tiny bit thicker disc than usual clutches. Granted that was the issue 15 years ago however........

Well I went to the track last night and it was a disaster, I ran the car 3 times and I could not find 3rd all night. 
My best time was like a 14.8 and it took me about 2 seconds to find 3rd. The only comfort I have is that after all that, I was still able to manage a 106mph trap speed. My next purchase will most likely be from Tick Performance. 
Then see what happens.
