I have a buddy who's been in the offshore industry for 3 years. He started as a roustabout and now he's a welder. He makes crazy money and works two weeks on, two weeks off. He's pretty hard to get a hold of now-a-days, but I'll see if I can't contact him and see what's open.

I was considering doing the offshore thing, but I doubt I'd be any good at it unless I were an electronics technician or something along those sorts.

Hmm. Wonder how hard it'd be for me to get on an entry level job. I have no experience offshore, all I have is military and security details in iraq =/

For entry level jobs, what direction should I look to? What jobs are there for entry level?

Not very many roustabout positions open on rigzone, is there any other sites?
