Default Mustang 5 lug swap help?

Looking for a definite answer so if you know please help. I have a 1990 lx coupe and I am wanting to do a 5 lug swap, a friend of mine is parting a 96 mustang with a V6 and I was told I could swap the whole spindles and all on the front but the wheels would just stick out a little, and then the axles would swap right out???

Everything will interchange including the axles. The axles and front spindles are only 1/2" wider the the fox stuff. The only thing you will have a issue with is the spindle to lower control arm. You will need a spacer for the lower ball joint to tighten against the spindle or just use the lower control arms off the front of the v6 car. Just make sure you get everything you will need brake lines, emergency brake lines ect.

I did this back in march on my 93 Coupe. I had to order shocks due to mine being shot and i needed spacers to shim them front to back. also like said above you will need to shim the lower ball joint so the spindle will tighten apropriately. as far as the rear i've heard you can swap in ranger axles so you can keep the ebrake. however I bought an SN95 rear and converted to the 8.8.

Would it be possible to just replace the ball joint with one from a 96 as well and not have to shim it?

Also on the rear, mine has an 8.8 and I don't know what rear is under the v6 96 mustang, but y'all are saying the axles and disc brakes off of it will work right.

7.5 axles will work in a 8.8 and as far as the spacers needed to run the spindles I used two washers with no problems. You just run out of thread for the spindle nut to tighten all the way up

Just make sure to get all the parts. backing plates, brake lines,e-brake cables and you should be good to go
