Pcv hoses??

Pcv hoses??
I recently got my formula back however it was missing all pcv hoses and was having a rough time starting. It's a 98 with a a4 swap and a 2000 motor
So I ran the back drivers side vent port back to the port on the back passengers side to a t fitting, and ran that to the lower port on the throttle body. I hooked up the port on the front of the valve cover to the top port on the throttle body
The car starts better now but when I floor it the car literally makes about 150 whp and goes nowhere. Did I hook up the pcv lines wrong or could the car have been tuned to run with the ports on the throttle body not hooked up to anything
Thanks for the help

Possibly.... I would get a vacuum gauge on that car and see where you are at. You should be able to pick one up at the autoparts store cheaply. You should have around 18-21 inHG, believe that is spec for these engines. Could also be fuel, spark, and or MAF as well. You might want to check your fuel pressure at the rail as well . Do you have any SES lights on the instrument cluster? I would wager you probably have at least thrown some codes, might have the guys at autozone pull them for you.

Link to the setup I just said except you can't see the pcv valve on the blue line

Thanks guys those were exactly what I needed. I have everything hooked up like the pictures except for a pcv valve.
When I got the car the port on the manifold was blocked off and the line on the tb was not hooked to anything. I believe I may have to get the car retuned

i think you might somehow put he pcv line to the tb coolant pipes???
To be cheap you can put a pcv valve on the driver side valve cover and run the hose from that to the port on the side of the intake manifold and and cap the rear pass side pipe on valve cover and run the front valve cover pipe to throttle body

Yeah I think it's just masking a bigger problem at this point. With the pcv system hooked up the car misses like crazy if you give it any throttle. With it capped it starts missing around 3500 and the car won't rev past 5 grand and it takes some time getting from 3500 up.
I'm gonna pull the plugs and start from there. Then check to male sure the intake manifold is tight
With a 98 a4 PCM, a 2000 motor, on a car that was originally a six speed I think I'm gonna find some problems

ok, but then you have both valve cover ports on a T fitting and jsut hooked directly to intake vaccum?? with no orifice or pcv valve in line?
if so all your doing is sucking oil vapors from the valve covers all the time thats the point of the pcv is to effictively do that, plus this is one gian vaccum leak it seems

I have a pcv valve on the drivers side valve cover but you are correct.
However a pcv valve seems to just be a one way block off to protect against back pressure.
So the pcv valve should be set to stop the vacuum from pulling from the valve ports?
Thanks again for the help
