Texas A&M to the SEC!!

There is a lot of misinformation in this thread. It is fairly entertaining.
- OU and OSU have stand alone offers to the PAC, regardless of what UT does. Expect them to announce in the next day or so.
- Missouri has an unofficial offer to the SEC, and will be accepted as soon as they apply. Mizzou will formally apply along the same timelines as OU/OSU
- UT has an invite to the PAC, conditional on them letting go of the LHN. If UT says no, then the PAC will probably move to TT/KU .. but UT is not expected to say no.
Almost 100% of what is being reported by ESPN and also CHip Brown is nothing but spin.

 PAC 12 100% doesn't want OU and OSU without Texas.
I love how certain you were minutes before the press release came out from Larry Scott.

The PAC-12 deal was held up because Texas doesn't know how to distribute revenue evenly, like every other major conference. Also, Tech/OSU academics were likely an issue with Stanford, Cal, USC, and UCLA.

What do you mean by equal revenue? 1st and 2nd tier rights, or 3rd tier rights. Here's a list of schools from 09-10 and how much they made on 3rd tier rights (which is "why" Texas is screwing everything up)...doesn't seem so equal does it?
1 University of North Carolina $11,171,458.00
2 University of Alabama $8,444,674.00
3 University of Kentucky $7,743,327.00
4 University of Florida $7,450,000.00
5 University of Kansas $7,276,988.00
6 Louisiana State University $7,012,730.00
7 Oklahoma State University $6,395,000.00
8 University of Tennessee $6,293,621.00
9 Oregon State University $6,267,671.00
10 University of Georgia $6,231,392.00
11 University of Wisconsin $5,547,740.00
12 Auburn University $4,637,605.00
13 University of Nebraska $4,393,529.00
14 University of Missouri $4,081,549.00

Texas even wanted aTm to get in on this 3rd tier sports deal and aTm **** the bed on that.
UT went out and did all the hard work and when it finally went through everybody threw a fit. all this channel was for was to get their 3rd tier sports out on the tv, just like the big 10 does with their own network, and etc.

Those are 3rd tier rights, which are not picked up in the major conference TV deals. Those are basically the rights for games that no one nationally or even regionally cares to see. 3rd tier rights have never been an issue with schools, because it comes down to how good the school is in football or basketball and there is no argument between the schools with that. THE ISSUE IS the sharing of the revenue guaranteed to the conference for the 1st and 2nd tier rights, which is where the big money comes from.
Again, please keep up with the conversation and don't just post the pro-UT side of the issues in all of this. I really hope you are not this dumb 2 SLOW. But then again, maybe you are really as slow as your username denotes.
