Correct. 10k sqft lot.

Update. There pretty much done with framing or will be soon. Man I have lots of attic space I could have extended the media room another 5ft. Found 2 major framing flaws we are talking about tomorrow.

Also going to pay a upgrade fee of $795.00 to run 12-2 wire through out the whole house vs. 14-2 wire. Why?

If I want more home runs where I may need more power, living room, TVs, & stereo , kitchen etc. No need to leave a bunch of blank unused slots on the panel

The only thing getting 14/2 should be your switch legs. Everything else should be ran in #12/2

Per them.

""the house is wired with 14-2 except for the appliances, the kitchen plugs, the dining plugs and the bathroom plugs (which are 12-2).""

What's your take? This is a 200amp service.

I just looked at High Homes website and they are VERY EXPENSIVE for the amount of SQ footage they offer. What makes them so expensive?

Hmmmmm mine is $85.00 per Sqft... The price you see is not what you pay there are discounts. You add all the discounts I have gotten and it's right at $44k off. Example.... House right door to me is listed on there site for $370k there bottom dollar is $340k.

Yup! I did bust them on 3 framing errors. Framed a extra door opening that could not have gone there, didn't make changes to windows in one of the bedrooms and they didn't frame correct for pocket doors. But we cleared all that in a meeting yesterday.

They say Dec 15th is there target date. On sat will be 8 weeks since we signed the contract.

Looks great, you will love the windows In the master and living area. Is your lot a half acre? Just Wondering how simple your lay out was? Seems a lot homes lay outs are real choppy and lose a lot of space that could have been saved by simpler lay out.

Subscribed glad for you man......

Naw 10ksqft lot. That's one of the reasons I went with Highland Homes due to there design and improvements they make. Plus I took there 143c plan and hacked it up and designed it how we wanted. They swap out colors and designs twice a year. Trendmaker on the other hand uses the same choppy design they have used for years.

Do your self a favor and have some blocking put in above the fire place so it will be easier to mount the tv bracket.

Looks like a good layout, love google lol! Very well executed and not choppy. The game and media rooms are huge. Did you get the 3 car side by side or tandem? I know it will be nice when it's done. Be sure to update so we can see the final house.
