Just curious who's running it and how long. I hear good from some and bad from some. Got a motor that doesn't quite like 93.

Are you running any sort of forced induction? Or one hell of a fuel pump?

I'm getting ready to convert mine over. I bought it in a drum though, I want a consistent mix. I'm waiting on injectors.....

You're turbo'd. You'll see the real benefits from it. Just make sure you have a really good fuel pump.

My reasoning for the e85 is there is a pump right around the corner from my house. I cant exactly pull up to a 104 unleaded pump anywhere. Our tuner buddy says he doesnt like the stuff so im just doing a little research.

there are tons of people running e85. your tuner buddy doesn't like it b/c of the variances in blends that one could get at the pump. and for the average joe who doesn't have a wideband they wont know.

if you have a wideband on the car i dont see the harm in it. also if you're not running your timing on the ragged edge i also dont see a problem with it...

but what do i know. your tuner buddy is the expert.

there are winter blends and summer blends..i doubt he has control over that. (from what i've been told)

and i purposely said YOUR tuner buddy.

i have my own reasons for not using E85.

the benefit of E85 is its convenience. When I go out in kill mode 104oct isn’t going to cut it. At that point I could buy a higher corn fuel, like Scott is probably doing. But now the convenience is gone. So I’ll go with C16.
Corn fuel is cheaper, but if I’ve spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on my car, I’m not going to penny pinch on some g’damn gas.

That’s just me. Do what you want

I hear ya. Everything I've researched tonight has not had anything 100% for corn. I might be better off getting some c16 and mixing one gallon of that with a tank of 93.

e85 ftw. Sounds like you need to find another tuner. Someone who says they don't like e85 for some unknown reason must not know what they are talking about.

People have made ALOT of power with it. My buddies poopra is no joke on corn gas! It's VERY finicky on the tuneup though as it has lots of resistance to knock but pre-ignites easily.

I had been running mine on Q, which is the worst fuel for FI with air to air....and too many variables are going to change to compare power between the different fuels.

I'll probably run a drum of e85 through it and then change it to something else.
