Any Computer Gurus Here?

I would play Crysis on full settings, COD, whatever I could throw at it, and it'd take it like a champ. I would also overclock the CPU to around 4GHz. And instead of using a CPU heatsink with a fan, I use a watercooler, forgot what brand, but it's lasted over 3 years, still running. Helps cool temps when I overclock it.
Here it is: (yes I know it's dirty, lol)

clean that **** up!
here is mine

msi p67a-g43 (b3) LGA 1155 ATX motherboard (not bad but I would recommend asus board or evga)
intel core i5 2500k LGA 1155 Processor (Good)
Thermaltake v3 black edition atx mid tower chassis (Thermaltake cases are cheap imo, look at corsair cases, great cable management, well built)
evga nvidia geforce gtx 560 gpu (Good)
seagate barracuda 1tb 7200rpm hdd (Go with samsung spinpoint F3 seriously great great drives)
corsair gs600 gaming series 600watt power supply (Good)
kingston hyperx blu ddr3-1600 4x2 RAM (Good)
samsung 22x dvd-rw burner with dual layer support(Good)
trendnet 54mbps 802.11g wireless pc card(Good)
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 3.3GHz, 3.7GHz Turbo 6 -Due tp price and Performance
MSI 990XA-GD55 - comes with over clock genie if you need to get more out of your CPU
Plus SLI compatible for dual Videocards.
Video card - I was looking at getting 2 - GTX560 asus or one 580 or 590 is the best performance I would say buy what you can afford.
HD - Im going 2 TB space is like HP always want more.
Any DVD drive just to boot up windows and get a case
Currently I have the AMD Phenom II x4 I have had no Issues with it and I have 8gb DDr2 ram. XFX 750a Motherboard. 2- 1TB harddrives 1- LG DVD Drive/burner 2 - GTS 250 SLi Videocards and a 500w power supply. Works like a charm. I can play anything just the new battlefield is so Graphic intense that If I crank it all the way up there is some slowing down. But I do COD MW 2 with everythink cranked up and It looks really good. Just my opinion.
I picked up a Dell XPS 8300 a few months back like in May for 650 to my door. Check out Dealnews.com, had a 100$ off coupon on desktops.
i7 2600k (Quad 3.8ghz)
8 gig DDR3
1.5tb HD
ATI 6670 (1gig DDR 5)
500w PS
I think the only thing it didnt have thats new is USB 3.0 front slot it has 1/2 in the rear. Its always more expensive to go the Intel route vs AMD....
on a side note, i looked around and it looks like everything i selected was cheaper on microcenter than anywhere else, even frys and newegg.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

quite a bit of the price comes from the graphics card and the processor. the build and prices arent set in stone either. went to frys and picked up some stuff and already shaved 70 bucks off the top. i'll let you know about the final cost. that 850 figure was also before rebates

The 560 (non ti) is about the same card as the 460, it just has a slightly different architecture and has slightly higher clocks.
The 560 ti is about 25-30% faster than 460, this would be a little less for the 560.
I would personally get the fastest single card that I could then later, given your motherboard supports SLI and you have a big enough power supply, get another one for a large performance boost when you need it.
Are you planning on doing any overclocking for your CPU?
Also, Open Box deals on Newegg.com can be great if you check them often. They may not come with any accessories, but there shouldn't be much you would need besides maybe a DVI to VGA converter depending on your monitor. It may take some patience to find something good on there but some incredible deals go through it quite often.

see thats what i was thinking, but as it turns out this overclocked 460 is about 20-30 bucks cheaper than the standard 460. they also have an asus 460 OC, but it runs at 700mhz whereas the ftw is at 850.
i doubt i'll overclock the cpu. not at first anyways. as you can probably tell, im not very tech savvy and i'd probably screw it up. when i learn a little bit more i may turn up the boost a little bit. thats why im goin for the p67 mobo so that i can OC later if i want to
Some people say they separate the better cards for the higher factory overclocked ones but I have never seen any evidence for it. I looked around for a bit and it seems like most 460s can hit 850-950 Mhz core speeds when you overclock them yourself.
Could you put some links or model numbers to the specific cards you are looking at?
If you plan on overclocking, you may want to pick up a new CPU cooler as well. Stock Intel coolers are pretty cruddy for even stock speeds. Something cheap like a CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ would get you pretty far for when you want to get into overclocking later.
