Looks good, just make sure the ram is 2 x 4GB and not 4 x 2GB. The case is kind of small though, don't know how good the cable management will be in it.

I used to play a lot of PC games back in 09 when I was in college, and built a PC specifically for it (one that I still own). At the time, I used an EVGA 780i FTW mobo, a EVGA GTX 285 video card, 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM, and an i7 processor.
I would play Crysis on full settings, COD, whatever I could throw at it, and it'd take it like a champ. I would also overclock the CPU to around 4GHz. And instead of using a CPU heatsink with a fan, I use a watercooler, forgot what brand, but it's lasted over 3 years, still running. Helps cool temps when I overclock it.

Im not a computer tech but currently I am looking at building a new RIG to stand up for some new games like Battlefield and COD MW3. This is what my changes would be is
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 3.3GHz, 3.7GHz Turbo 6 -Due tp price and Performance
MSI 990XA-GD55 - comes with over clock genie if you need to get more out of your CPU
Plus SLI compatible for dual Videocards.

well from what i can gather, the intel cores are a little more efficient than the amd, resulting in better performance in most aspects despite lower clock speeds. every single benchmark ive seen resulted in the intel i5 being significantly better than the amd counterparts ( even the 6 core). when i looked on frys website, there was a significant price difference between the amd's and the intel i5(about 100 between cpu and mobo), but when i checked out that micro center website, that price difference shrunk to a mere 25 bucks so i think i'll do that

ended up buying some stuff today. picked up a coolermaster elite 430, which is slightly bigger than the thermaltake i was looking at and a bit sturdier too. also nabbed an antec "basiq" 500w psu and 8gigs of ram by corsair.
quite a bit of the price comes from the graphics card and the processor. the build and prices arent set in stone either. went to frys and picked up some stuff and already shaved 70 bucks off the top. i'll let you know about the final cost. that 850 figure was also before rebates

It will be similar it is going to be overclocked from factory giving better performance but the gtx 560 going to be better but if you get a good deal I would say go for it. My cousin has that card and it runs SC2, BFBC2, MW2, and other games maxed out on 1920x1080 and gets pretty decent fps

I wouldn't really spend the money on a factory overclocked card personally, you can overclock it yourself fairly easily.
The 560 (non ti) is about the same card as the 460, it just has a slightly different architecture and has slightly higher clocks.
The 560 ti is about 25-30% faster than 460, this would be a little less for the 560.
I would personally get the fastest single card that I could then later, given your motherboard supports SLI and you have a big enough power supply, get another one for a large performance boost when you need it.
Are you planning on doing any overclocking for your CPU?
Also, Open Box deals on Newegg.com can be great if you check them often. They may not come with any accessories, but there shouldn't be much you would need besides maybe a DVI to VGA converter depending on your monitor. It may take some patience to find something good on there but some incredible deals go through it quite often.

see thats what i was thinking, but as it turns out this overclocked 460 is about 20-30 bucks cheaper than the standard 460. they also have an asus 460 OC, but it runs at 700mhz whereas the ftw is at 850.
i doubt i'll overclock the cpu. not at first anyways. as you can probably tell, im not very tech savvy and i'd probably screw it up. when i learn a little bit more i may turn up the boost a little bit. thats why im goin for the p67 mobo so that i can OC later if i want to

As long as they are all reference style cards, whichever one is cheaper would be the main deciding factor to me.
Some people say they separate the better cards for the higher factory overclocked ones but I have never seen any evidence for it. I looked around for a bit and it seems like most 460s can hit 850-950 Mhz core speeds when you overclock them yourself.
Could you put some links or model numbers to the specific cards you are looking at?
If you plan on overclocking, you may want to pick up a new CPU cooler as well. Stock Intel coolers are pretty cruddy for even stock speeds. Something cheap like a CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ would get you pretty far for when you want to get into overclocking later.

you know what, i think im looking at a 460 SC, not the ftw. i looked at the box and saw ftw, but it looks like they have all of them on there and the "SC" is highlighted. derp
