How much car?

You can get 40-70k mile stock in great condition Fbodies for 7-9k and have 4k left over for mods or you can get a heavily modded in similar condition for 11-13k (H/C/I/E/12bolt++++)

you can get a damn good one for that price... low mileage, newer (01-02), everything should be in excellent shape physically and mechanically, and it will probably be modded fairly well (wheels, suspension, maybe a built motor, etc) or you can do as head hunter suggested which is a great idea also... just boils down to if you want to buy a car that is already done or do it yourself... just take your time until you find the right one

According to your sig you have an 00 T/A? You want another LS1?
Honestly, nowadays, LS1's are a dime a dozen, you can find them under 10k, if you look hard enough, and if I were you I wouldn't settle for anything over 10k, and use the rest for mods.

I sold the TA back a few months ago. I am pretty tall and I didnt like how I sat so high in the car. Im in New Jesery heading to Al Udeid in Jan for the second damn time. I would only have 13K (wife) to spend on a car. I would really like a vette, but the ones that are in my price range are 98's with 150K miles. When I get back, (July) I will be buying a car, but I will only have 2 weeks of leave then Ill have to go back to Jersey (parents live in Houston).
