I got a ticket almost 2 weeks ago now but when the cop came up to my car he scanned the bar code on my sticker. He never had to enter my personal information and did not ask for my insurance card

There's many ways around it(and to get papers) but most shops wont do it, bc your $40 bucks isn't worth loosing there license over it.

He didnt scan your insp sticker. He scanned your tags. That is where all your info is.
